I first made contact with Victoria having had several conversations with a private eating disorder clinic , whose approach was traditional. They seemed nice and like they wanted to help,  but I felt pressured and like they were forcing me to make decisions that I knew I needed to make, but with no regard for my life outside , my responsibilities and my needs. I started to follow recovery accounts on Instagram for inspiration and confidence that recovery was possible, and I kept seeing these brave people relapsing,  but determined and trying again having been in an out of traditional treatment for years. I  also came across the newer approach that Victoria promotes which is about self love and self worth and healing mentally deep down as well as physically,  and it just made sense to me.  She was the first person who came up in my search,  and I feel she was being sent to me, I didn’t scroll past her website, I didn’t look for better or cheaper, I felt strongly that this was a sign that she was my person.

I contacted her and my gut was this is the person for me, I was getting a lot of pushback from those I had confided in,  to go and have traditional treatment , my response was I don’t just want to be better physically, I want this to be over for ever,  and for that I need to work out how to make my mental health better.

It  made sense to to me that doing that,  was not just about talking for an hour to a medical professional ( although I know there are many who help people),  but I wanted to share my deepest thoughts and feelings with someone who had  felt every emotion, every fear, every doubt , every failure and every win.

I am just at the start of my journey, but before we even started to have one to one coaching, her emails, her answers to my questions, made me feel more sure than ever and I made some quite drastic changes before we even started. I was open about my eating disorder, I didn’t feel ashamed any more, I began to eat more as I wanted to get started, I stopped weighing myself every day. That was huge for me, but I felt like I am now entering a safe space for the first time in years and that things could only improve from here. She is a strong , fully authentic coach, who speaks with love , determination, motivation and is also clear of the need to take responsibility for yourself and do the work. I will be back for another review when I know I will be in a dramatically different world than I am now. Thank you for everything so far,  and everything we can achieve Victoria.
